Real Fans Even Overlook Killing Dogs If You Win
-
After the University of Miami's loss at OSU, quarterback Jacory Harris made the mistake of looking at his Twitter account, in which someone tweeted that Miami shouldn't have a black quarterback. Miami's since banned players from Twitter, and that may have had something to do with it. But social networks and blogs are the perfect place for people to spout racist garbage, because it can be anonymous, cutting, and quick. And if you're a celebrity -- if you're ANYbody -- you have to take it the way Harris did, as just some moron's opinion. Besides, what REAL football fan cares about the race of the quarterback in 2012? All that matters to a real fan is winning. (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
