There's been lots of talk about babies recently.........
Perhaps this is a good time to revisit how ''babies'' can drive interest (and ratings) in your morning show.
Hot on the heels of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge naming their baby George, Star Cambridge (in the UK) re-branded as George FM
Here's their new royal Jingle:
Gold 104.3 also had some fun with babies and their ''Name That Baby'' campaign....great for Classic Hits, or AAA stations, which you can hear here (with hanks to Mal Lewis):
I loved the way Mix 101.1's breakfast show (Chrissy and Jane) in Australia ''teased ''its recent ''Baby Bonus'' campaign.
C: Hi it's Mix 101.1's Chrissie & Jane.
J: You may have already done something today that's worth a heap of cash.
C: You may be about to do it again in a minute.
J: We'll tell you what it is and what it's worth Monday morning at 7:30 on Mix 101.1.It is in fact one way to launch a morning show driven campaign where loving couples who to this point have been able to conceive, get a chance at 5 grand.
Then there's The Red Rooster with Seamus and Jason on Red FM in Cork, Ireland with their ''pregmancy'' campaign.
Two male breakfast presenters really feeling what it's like to be pregnant with prosthetic baby bumps.
And.......... Sam and Amy on Gem 106 in the Midlands in the UK taking it one step further with a campaign based on a stunt performed by 2 Dutch TV presenters who really wanted to give pregnancy a go.
Engaging content that forces you to listen.
Let me know if you'd like any more info on any of these campaigns.
