Alicia Madison is an American singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, NY. As a teenager, she performed in local wedding and bar bands. Alicia got her start as an intern at Warner Bros. She captured the attention of the late Tommy Page, a top A&R exec who was so impressed with her vocal ability, he immediately linked her with Big Management's Gary Salzman to help develop her as a songwriter and artist.
Holding the #1 spot on the Mediabase Dance chart for the second consecutive week, her hit single "Insanity," a collab with Rooverb & Alan Crown, reached #6 on the Billboard Dance/Mixshow Airplay chart and is currently #1 for the 3rd week in a row on Sirius XM BPM channel 51. Her powerful lyrics and emotional vocals captured a massive audience both in the Dance and Pop Genre.

1) Congratulations on hitting #1 on the Mediabase Dance chart with "Insanity." How's that feel?
Thank you! It feels incredible. I have put a lot of hard work into my career. It's so amazing to see it pay off.
2) How did you get your start? When did you know that singing was going to be "it" for you?
I started singing when I was 13 years old. The passion grew from there. I joined a wedding/bar band at 16 and wanted more. I then began my journey a few years afterwards to start my artist/songwriting career.
3) We all miss Tommy Page. How instrumental was he in your career?
Tommy was an amazing musical influence in my life, but he was also an amazing person. He introduced me to my manager Gary Salzman, which then paved my way into the industry. I honestly wouldn't be here without him.
4) Where was this song recorded? Who else was involved?
I actually wrote "Insanity" three or four years ago. We were pretty adamant in finding a great track for it and didn't find one until we gave it to Rooverb and Alan Crown. They sent us back a finished product; my manager and I looked at each other and we were both like, "Okay, this is it."
5) Where can we catch you live?
Live performances are currently being scheduled now for spring/summer. TBA!
6) Other than Tommy, who else would you say has mentored you and/or influenced you in the biz?
Eric Mclellan, Director of A&R at Sire Records, was someone who mentored me as well, and he is a good friend of mine. He's actually the one who introduced me to Tommy. My manager, Gary Salzman, is also a huge mentor and influence for me. I've learned a lot from him about the business and he continues to push me to be the best songwriter and artist that I can be.
7) Who were some of your fave singers/artists growing up?
My favorite artists were Amy Lee of Evanescence, Alanis Morissette, and Christina Aguilera. They were and are still huge vocal influences to me.
8) What was it like to hear yourself on the radio for the first time?
Unreal. I've heard "Insanity" about 100 times on the radio and I still call my mom every single time to let her know it's on. It will never get old. It's one of the best feelings in the world.
9) What music would we be surprised to find on your personal playlist?
I have an array of music on my playlist! I have songs that range from "Havana" by Camila Cabello, "Africa" by Toto, "Bad At Love" by Halsey to Sting and the Police. I like a lot of different music to fit my moods.
10) What's next for you?
My next single, "Toxic Rain," comes out mid-April on Spinnin' Records/Warner Bros. Records. I'm really excited for this release. It's a darker version of EDM with haunting, unique, and artistic lyrics.
Bonus Questions
Which character on a current TV series most reflects your personality?
Rebecca Pearson from "This Is Us"! I just feel like I would handle her situations the same way. I also see myself as her partially because I want to be married to Jack.
