Latto

Alyssa Michelle Stephens, professionally known as Latto, is a singer/rapper with over 1 billion streams worldwide across all platforms. She made her introduction on the Jermaine Dupri reality TV series, The Rap Game, in 2016. She was the first season's winner. She signed with RCA in 2019 and released her debut album, Queen Of Da Souf in August 2020. 

Latto's mainstream break came with the 2021 single "Big Energy". It appeared on her second studio album, 777, and is RIAA-certified 2x Platinum. With it, she made history as the first female rapper to ever have a #1 record at Pop, Rhythm and Urban Radio with the same single. Overall, she’s also the first female artist in 12 years to accomplish this feat, joining the company of Rihanna (“Rude Boy”), Alicia Keys (“No One”), Beyonce´ (“Irreplaceable”), Mary J. Blige (“Be Without You”) and Mariah Carey (“We Belong Together”), the last five to previously achieve this. 

Last year she was also nominated for “Top Rap Female Artist” for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. She won her first-ever award for “Best New Artist” at the 2022 BET Awards. Most recently, she performed at Spotify’s “Best New Artist” event and at the legendary Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala. Recently it was announced that Latto will be honored with the “Powerhouse Award” at Billboard’s 2023 Women in Music Awards before heading back on tour with Lizzo for the second leg of her Special Tour. At the age of three, Lu Kala’s family immigrated from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Canada. Gifted with a talent for writing striking pop tracks and memorable hooks, she has written for other artists, including Jennifer Hudson. Her music has garnered over 14M streams. She has also found success on TikTok and IG Reels.
