The Wanted are an English/Irish pop boy band based in London formed in 2009 and consists of members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes. The band's debut single "All Time Low" was released in July 2010 and reached number one in the United Kingdom. Their debut studio album, The Wanted, was released on October 25th 2010 and debuted and peaked at number four in the United Kingdom. The first single from their second album, "Gold Forever", was released in aid of "Comic Relief" and reached number three on the UK Singles Chart. The band's second number one hit, "Glad You Came", topped the singles chart in the UK for two weeks and in Ireland for five weeks.
The band announced a nationwide tour entitled "The Behind Bars Tour" in promotion of the album, with dates held at sixteen theatres from March to April. The band confirmed that they had signed a record deal with American label Def Jam. On June 2011, "All Time Low" was released as their first US single, and for the week ending August 27th 2011, "All Time Low" entered the U.S. Hot Dance Club Songs Chart at number nineteen. This marked the band's first song to enter any U.S. Chart. The band started working on their second studio album in January 2011. The first single from the album, "Gold Forever" was released on March 13th, in aid of Comic Relief. It peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. However, it was not until the release of their second single from the album, Glad You Came, which became their second number one single. "Glad You Came" topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks and stayed in the top ten for six weeks. The single reached number one in Ireland and remained there for five weeks. "Glad You Came" is currently impacting Pop radio everywhere and their newest album is set to be released on November 7th.
