MAROON 5
Jan 9, 2013

Overexposed is the fourth studio album by the American pop rock band Maroon 5. The album was recorded in 2011 and was driven after the moderate success of their third album "Hands All Over" (2010) and later by the successful re-release single "Moves Like Jagger". The band worked with different producers, such as Max Martin, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Benny Blanco. The band has said that it is their poppiest album.
Appearing on Saturday Night Live and The Voice, and pulling in a slew of Grammy Nominations, including Best Pop Album for their smash hit Overexposed, has made this a super-busy couple of months for Maroon 5. Even more so for singer Adam Levine who, aside from his regular spot on the singing competition, managed to find time to get murdered by a crazy psychopath on American Horror Story, record a track with 50 Cent and Eminem, and get nominated for six People's Choice Awards.
On Dec. 11th, Maroon 5 released a music video for their single "Daylight" on the band's VEVO YouTube channel. The nine and a half minute long video features fan submitted footage of people performing the song.
The emotional video begins with a montage of fans talking about what they love in life. The rest of the music video revolves around fans performing the song and telling their personal stories of love, heartache, joy and triumph. Some of the subjects fans talk is about suicide, death, love, bullies, and happiness. Maroon 5 is calling this music video "The Daylight Project".
The song "Daylight" is the third single from the band's fourth studio album, "Overexposed". The album was released on June 26th via A&M/Octone Records and it debuted at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The previous two singles from "Overexposed" were "Payphone" featuring Wiz Khalifa and "One More Night".
