Mixing Shwayze-like beats, the caustic attitude of Kesha, and a tough version of suburban rap, Boston's Sam Adams caused quite a stir in 2010 when his debut album topped the iTunes hip-hop charts the week of its release. Sam Adams, his real first and middle name was a senior at Trinity College in Hartford when he decided to inject some attitude into Asher Roth's hit "I Love College." In early 2010, he released "I Hate College (Remix)", a remix of rapper Asher Roth's song "I Love College", on YouTube. His EP, Boston's Boy was released in March by 1st Round Records and reached #73 on the Billboard 200. Adams finished his second mixtape, Party Records Mixtape, in London and released it in September 2010. He performed at music fesitval Lollapalooza in Chicago in August 2011.
Adams released the singles, "Blow Up" and "Summertime", from his forthcoming album in November 2011 and March 2012 respectively. He made his television debut on the late night talk show Conan with Conan O'Brien in January 2012. A third single, "Only One" was released in April 2012.
