Sir Ivan
Apr 21, 2013

Recording artist Sir Ivan (aka Ivan Wilzig) recently unleashed his latest dance track, "La La Land," and this one has a special shout out to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
The video for the song opens in black and white before a group of full-color rainbow flags unfurl, which Sir Ivan says is his way of showing support for the LGBT community.
"As the son of a Holocaust survivor, I've always been an activist for peace," he says in press release. "Right now, I'm particularly focused on the needs of the LGBT community, who seem to have a bum deal at the moment with the debate on equal marriage, homophobic bullying among youth and political systems across the world that are looking to create second-class citizens of this colorful and diverse community. I, for one, will not stand for it and I hope people will follow me in my music to unite against this injustice."
Sir Ivan, who has had other hit singles such as "Hare Krishna," which reached #10 on the Billboard Dance charts in 2011, also starred on the second season of the reality TV show "Who Wants To Be A Superhero," as Mr. Mitzvah. He recently performed "La La Land" at a decadent animal-themed party at his legendary castle, during which he announced he has made a large donation to The Trevor Project, which is dedicated to preventing LGBT youth suicide.
