Daft Punk

"Lose Yourself to Dance" is the latest song written and recorded by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams and American musician and guitarist Nile Rodgers for Daft Punk's fourth studio album, Random Access Memories. It appears as the sixth track on the album. The song charted in France, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom despite not having been released as a commercial single.
Daft Punk expressed that the song was the result of a desire to create dance music with live drummers; thus John "J.R." Robinson appears as session player. The lyrics are performed by Pharrell Williams, with additional vocals by Daft Punk using vocoders. The "heavy beats" are said to resemble the Billy Squier song "The Big Beat". A four-minute edit of the song will be distributed to mainstream radio stations in the United States on August 13th.
