Jason Derulo is a Haitian-American singer-songwriter, actor and dancer. Derulo started his career writing songs for many artists, including Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Pleasure P and Cassie. He also wrote "Bossy" for rapper Birdman, and made a guest appearance on the song, which highlighted his ability as a vocalist. After producing records for several artists and writing songs for Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman, Young Money Entertainment owner Lil Wayne and rapper Diddy, Derulo signed to minor recording label Beluga Heights.
After Beluga Heights became part of the Warner Music Group, Derulo released his debut single, "Whatcha Say" in May 2009, which sold over five million digital downloads, gaining an RIAA certification of double platinum, and reaching number 1 in the U.S. and New Zealand. Derulo released his second single, "In My Head", in December 2009. His debut album, Jason Derülo, was released on March 2, 2010. He released his second studio album, Future History on September 16, 2011, the album was proceeded by the released of the UK number one single Don't Wanna Go Home. Jason's third album Tattoos is set to be released on September 23rd.
"Marry Me" is a song by American singer-songwriter Jason Derulo, released as the second single in the US Market (third overall) from his upcoming third studio album Tattoos (2013). The song was written by Jason Desrouleaux, Jonas Jeberg, "Hookman" Marlin Bonds, Andy Marvel while the songs production was handled by Jonas Jeberg.
During an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Derulo revealed that he wrote the love song a year ago and, it's an ode to his girlfriend Jordin Sparks. He also shares his favorite lyric consists of: "One of my favorite lyrics is the '105 is the number that comes to my head when I think of all the years I want to be with you. It's one of those things you want to wake up next to that person forever so 105 is the number that I thought of".
The song made its world premiere of the new song on On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Monday August 26th, and was made available for digital download through digital retailers on the day.
