Cher Lloyd is prepping her follow-up to debut album "Sticks + Stones" for a tentative fall release. The 20-year-old's latest single is titled "I Wish" and includes T.I. as a guest star.
The "Want U Back" singer released "Sticks + Stones" last October in the U.S. and a year earlier in the U.K., where she finished in fourth on "The X Factor." In June, Lloyd told Billboard that she took more personal responsibility on the still-untitled album, to be released on Epic Records.
""I feel like I've grown up as a person, learned a lot about myself as an artist," Lloyd said. "And my fans need it -- they really do. They may not forgive me for not releasing any new material, like, 'Is she just going away?' I feel very positive about this year and I feel like it's the new me and a lot more confident too."
"Want U Back" peaked at No. 12 on the Hot 100 in 2012, and Lloyd popped up as a vocalist on Demi Lovato's "Demi" cut "Really Don't Care" earlier this year. In June, the singer unveiled "It's All Good," a collaboration with Ne-Yo for Unilever's Fruttare ice cream bars.
Although "I Wish" does not have an announced release date, Lloyd will embark on the previously announced I Wish tour on Sept. 6th. Fifth Harmony will serve as the run's opening act.
