The latest track to be released as part of Justin Bieber's #MusicMondays series on Twitter is for the ballad 'Bad Day' which charts a painful break-up.
The ballad features a number of heartfelt and emotional lyrics including: "Never thought a love like yours could leave me all alone" and "I didn't think it was over, / Until you walked away, / Like it was nothing, girl". Given his split from Selena Gomez earlier this year, fans are already speculating as to whether the lines are a reference to his painful break-up. With minimal amounts of instruments, the 19-year-old 's vocals are the focus of the track.
'Bad Day' is Justin's fifth "#MusicMonday" track and follows a string of other songs which also focus on relationships. His first 'Music Monday' release, 'Heartbreaker' was released on October 7th.
#MusicMondays will see Bieber release a new track every Monday for 10 weeks in a bid to promote his upcoming movie 'Believe 3D' which is due for release on Christmas Day. Justin's manager Scott Braun has explained the unique approach to releasing new material, telling Billboard: "I wanted people to experience what he was feeling, week to week."
"Justin had this complete body of work that was very different from the stuff he had done in the past - very R&B-driven, personal songs, not necessarily songs that he was thinking of as radio records," he continues. "They're very, very personal to what he's been feeling over the last six months, going through a tough time. If you listen to the lyrics in these songs, he's pouring his heart out."
