Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson, better known by her stage name Tove Lo, is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter and musician, living in Stockholm. She released her debut EP Truth Serum in March 2014. Tove Lo has also written songs for a number of artists including notably Icona Pop. She was for some time member of a music band called Tremblebee, before leaving to concentrate on a solo singing and songwriting career. In 2011 she collaborated with Max Martin and his songwriting team in writing songs.
Tove Lo's debut single "Love Ballad" was released in the autumn of 2012. She features on Lucas Nord's single "Run on Love" which was released on June 5, 2013. She features on Seven Lions, Myon and Shane 54's single "Strangers" which was released on October 11, 2013 and went to #1 on SiriusXM BPM 51. Her second single "Out of Mind" was released on October 16, 2013.
Her third "Habits" was released on December 6, 2013.The song has peaked to number 10 in Denmark. Tove Lo appeared on the SVT Swedish television game show På spåret on 24 January 2014 performing covers of "Fidelity" from Regina Spektor and "Peace" from Mika.
She released her debut EP Truth Serum on March 3, 2014. The album peaked at number twenty on the Swedish Albums Chart. She released "Stay High" on the same day as the EP. "Stay High" peaked at number thirty two on the Swedish Singles Chart. However, the single was hugely successful elsewhere, peaking within the top ten of the charts in Norway, the United Kingdom and New Zealand as well as peaking in the top twenty of the charts in Australia. Tove Lo played her first US show on March 10, 2014 at the Shameless SXSW Party and her first UK show at The Nottinghill Arts Club, London on 2 April 2014.
Nilsson will be opening for Katy Perry in the Australian portion of the Prismatic World Tour.
