Aug 30, 2015

NIKKI Tino is a female indie-pop artist from Staten Island, New York. She has been singing and performing in New York City from the age of 13 when she was invited to perform at the legendary Apollo Theater as their "Star of Tomorrow." No stranger to live performance, she grew up doing musical theater, honing her skills as a self-proclaimed "theater kid." Years later, she began writing and recording her own music in various genres including electro-pop and retro-soul. This year she teamed up with powerhouse production company Deetown (Alvin and the Chipmunks/Pitch Perfect) to record a dynamic EP of original music. Early after teaming up with Deetown, Nikki was placed on Disney Kingdom's "Monkey Kingdom" soundtrack performing a cover of Salt-N-Pepa's 90s hit "What A Man", which was featured popularly in various publications reviewing the film. The first single released by Nikki alongside Deetown entitled, Shake that LaLa, is the quintessential feel-good song! A video for the single is slated to debut this month. With an over the top personality and vocal chops to match, we're sure to be "Shaking our LaLas" with Nikki Tino all Summer long!?
