BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I have previously worked in the Sacramento, San Diego and Fresno markets and have multi-format programming experience including Classic Rock, AC, Top 40, Hot AC and Rhythmic AC.
1. What got you into radio?
When I first heard Dr. Don Rose on KFRC call San Jose "San Panty Jose" on the radio, I was hooked!
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
I used to like to argue my points of view with other kids and my parents, stand my ground, and give good advice, so being a lawyer might have been my calling. But, I chose radio. And I'm guessing I still might use some of those traits. HA
3. What's the biggest difference in being a VP/Programming from your days programming one station?
When you advance to programming multiple stations and formats, you learn to be more efficient and more diligent. As a VP, I have a clear vision of where I want to lead each brand. I also conduct meticulous market analysis and needs assessments with the goal to deliver successful, consistent results. Plus, you have to be willing to take chances and risks occasionally or else you will fail. Not everything I implement on a brand is perfect, but that is how I like to be challenged. If I make a mistake, then I am afforded the opportunity to fix it.
4. What do you wish you had more time for?
Cooking. I think I would be a good cook if I invested more time with it.
5. Tommy's favorite new artist of 2018...so far?
I have become a fan of Dua Lipa. She is going to have a good year!
6. HBO or Showtime?
HBO! The line-up is solid. Silicon Valley, Curb Your Enthusiasm, VEEP, Insecure, Real Time with Bill Maher, Sex and the City, Insecure, Big Little Lies, True Detective, Girls, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver are just some of my favorites.
7. You have a 3-day, non-holiday weekend...where do you go? Las Vegas or Cabo?
Viva Las Vegas!
8. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
Bring a contestant on The Price is Right could be fun. I would probably end up winning a Riding Lawn Mower or something else I'll never use.
9. What's left on your vacation bucket list?
Fiji. No, Tahiti. No, Fiji. Ah, can I choose both?
10. If you had to eat one type of meal every day for a month, what would it be?
Taco Bell is my guilty pleasure. I could eat that for a month and be happy.
