1. What got you into radio?
Dj'ing, crowd control and love the attention. ☺
I was always responsible for the music at all the house parties and took that passion to the next level in high school by investing in myself with turntables and buying records from the money I made at my Burger King job.
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
A Los Angeles Laker. :-)
3. In addition to your duties at WJMN, you're also a globetrotting mixer. Do you have a favorite foreign location to spin?
London and pretty much all of Canada, they love a mix of everything especially reggae and throwbacks (all ages)
4. What's unique about Boston's Rhythm and Hip Hop fans?
That they are not the same, you cannot program Boston radio like you would any white bread market. This city has like 42 colleges (major colleges) in like an eight mile radius. We have the smartest kids from all over coming to the city every year. They come from all different backgrounds.
5. What would probably surprise most people about Boston?
That the Boston "accent" is only in some parts of Massachusetts. It's also just as fast as NYC.
6. If you could be a Marvel or DC superhero for a day, which would you choose to be?
Quicksilver...always on the move
7. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
Finance by day, DJ at nights.
8. We know your job keeps you very busy but what do you like to do in spare time you have?
Listen to roots reggae, and travel to exotic beaches with no wifi.
9. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
Wouldn't want to be on a reality show, and i would be the champ on Family Feud.
10. Who are/were some of your radio and music mentors?
PDs - Cadillac Jack, Chris Tyler and Dylan Sprague, all three have shown me three amazing ways to manage and program. Eric Cubiche and Julio G as on air personalities, DJ Hideo, IceyIce, Roy Barboza and GSpin as on air mixers, Khaled and Drama on my next "move". Dee Sonaram, Kevin Liles, Gary Bernstein with Artist Development
