Have an opinion? Add your comment below. Probably time management. With the additional responsibility but same amount of time posed a challenge early on, but I was able to surround myself with a great staff, delegate a bit, and teach which turned an initial problem into something in the past. These moves had made me a better manager, personality, leader and the station has had success because of it

1. What got you into radio?
I was a guest DJ with Frank Lozano at Power 106. During the show Frank was impressed with all that I was doing at a young age and suggested that I reached out to the Promotions Director for the station. A couple of weeks later I was on the Power 106 street team! I've been in Radio ever since that day in the mid 90's. LOL
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
That list is long...ball player, race car driver, poker player, newscaster, ESPN anchor, teacher, olympian. As you can see, I was active dreamer!
3. What would probably surprise most people about living and working in the Inland Empire?
My mortgage is less expensive for a bigger home and this market is a lot bigger than what the numbers suggests. Those are probably two things that people already know. LOL I grew up in Long Beach and the Inland Empire is not much different except the ocean.
4. The Lakers with LeBron James, will be _____________
Pretty damn good! Every team that LeBron has been on has had success. It shouldn't be any different with this Lakers Team. Don't get it twisted. Kobe is the GLOAT (Greatest Laker of all Time) Because of Kobe, I have/own 5 championship rings!
5. We know the superstars that have played for the Lakers. Who was the best dude?
That's a tough one, I worked 20 years for the Lakers and still have great friends to this day that were great dudes! Eddie Jones, Byron Scott, James Worthy, Shaq, AC Green, Derek Fisher, Tracy Murray, Robert Horry, and Kobe. All of those guys helped shape my life in one way or another while growing up in that Lakers locker room.
6. What was the biggest change in the move from APD/MD to PD?
Probably time management. With the additional responsibility but same amount of time posed a challenge early on, but I was able to surround myself with a great staff, delegate a bit, and teach which turned an initial problem into something in the past. These moves had made me a better manager, personality, leader and the station has had success because of it.
7. What's your favorite song on the station right now?
I've always judged my favorite songs if I turned the volume up to 10 in my car. Right now those songs are Taste, Big Bank, and Sicko Mode. But I can see a couple of new ones going all the way up soon!
8. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
Going back to question #2. The only one I can do now is be a teacher! I've always had a passion to teach the youth.
9. What do you like to do with the spare time you have?
Chill, relax, watch movies. It's crazy how much of a home body I've become! I really enjoy playing poker as well. If anyone wants to sponsor me the WSOP next year, hit me up!
10. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
SURVIVOR! Big fan of the show and I watch it every week with my daughter. Actually, I've sent in a demo a few times! No call backs yet. If there are any Survivor casting agents out there reading this, Let's Go!
Bonus Questions
Do you have a Vegas residency lined up this winter?
Unfortunately, not. My last residency in Vegas ended a couple of years ago which is fine, because today I'm about staying a resident 99.1 KGGI and iHeartMedia.
If you had to eat one type of meal every day for a month, what would it be?
Oh that's easy! Mexican! Tacos every day! Can I throw some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in there as well?
