BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I started here at Hot 94.1 as one of the weekend and overnight personalities. I became host of our mix shows, Friday Nite Heat and Saturday Night Street Party. Two of our night hosts left the station and I moved up into nights.
1. What got you into radio?
I would say radio found me. I've had always had a love and a passion for music. Really, for entertainment itself; from film to TV to music. I saw an entertainment opportunity and I seized it. I'm hoping one day open new doors!
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
LOL! Again, an entertainer. I didn't have any other dreams except this entertainment business. I wanted to act, direct, write, produce all my work.
3. What excites you about going on the air every night?
I love feeling like I am connecting with my audience. A friend who is speaking for his friends. Plus being a local radio DJ lets our listeners know I'm one of them. When the day is over, I'm the voice that gets home or the voice that get the listeners through their shifts.
4. What could Bakersfield use more of?
More of the outside industry looking at the talent Bakersfield has to offer.
5. What would probably surprise most people about Bakersfield?
We can an entertaining and fun city to be in. We have a lot of talented artist out here making a difference.
6. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
Well I'm sure it would be in entertainment. But, if not, I'd be a psychologist or motivational speaker.
7. What artist/entertainer would you pick to do your show for you while you were on vacation?
Snoop Dogg or Dave Chappelle would be great to host the night show for a week.
8. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I watch movies and take weekend trips.
9. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
I would love to be on one of those Love and Hip-Hop Shows. I'd love to see the soap opera drama on those shows. I would be a hilarious character.
10. What would you like to improve about your on-air "game"?
I think a would tell more personable stories about me to my audience (still funny and entertaining)
