BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:

A staple in the Connecticut music scene for over 30 years. DJ Bigg Mann's "Kick Rocks Award" and "Tell Them Why You're Mad" features are staples of Hot 93.7.

1. What got you into radio?

My love for music and community. When this station came to Connecticut, I had to be a part of it.

2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?

I wanted to be an actor. My impersonations were great!

3. What might surprise most people about living and working in Hartford?

The culture and diversity.

4. During the pandemic, did you find yourself picking up any new hobbies or interests?

I became very handy during the pandemic. Also, I became an avid reader.

5. Did you cook more or hit up Door Dash and other delivery services?

I did more cooking.

6. Who are/were some of your radio, music and entertainment business mentors?

Tom Smith (WQTQ), Juan Castillo (WYBC), Eddie Jordan (WKND), Funk Master Flex (WQHT)

7. If you weren't in Radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?

A youth counselor or a realtor.

8. What would you like to personally improve on as an air personality?

My talk speed. I tend to talk too fast, at times.

9. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?

Family Feud

10. I've seen radio personalities transition into TV weather and into public information officers for public utility companies and police departments. Which could you see yourself transitioning to?

Possibly a public information officer.

Soul food
