Have an opinion? Add your comment below. Your biggest adjustment moving from Denver to Phoenix?
The biggest change has been going from a hectic social calendar and being on the go constantly to being able to go home and have no commitments. It's actually pretty nice! But as I learn the city and make connections it will be nice to build my social calendar back up.-
BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I started in radio more than 15 years ago now. My first job was in a small town, Craig, CO, where I learned all aspects of radio. It was like radio bootcamp. After two years, I left to go back home to city life and did country radio at the heritage Country station, KYGO and then moved on to iHeartradio, where I took on multiple roles doing middays, point-to-point tracking for multiple markets, assistant program director, promotions and more!
1. What got you into radio?
Growing up, the radio was always on and I loved the connection to the radio personalities and I was also a huge music fan. I always knew I wanted to work with music, somehow and thought radio would be the perfect fit for me.
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
No joke, when I was a little kid, my dream job was to work at a Blockbuster! As I got older, that changed, and I wanted to work at the library. I thought working at a library seemed so peaceful.
3. Your biggest adjustment moving from Denver to Phoenix?

4. Your favorite phone app?
TikTok. I get mad at myself every day for spending way too much time on TikTok but before you know if two hours has gone by. My friends probably get annoyed because I'm constantly sending them TikToks full of makeup tips.
5. I know you haven't been in Phoenix that long but what has surprised you about living and working in Phoenix?
I was really surprised by how nice everyone is. People have been so welcoming. Whether it's coworkers checking in on me to make sure I'm adjusting to my new city or listeners reaching out on Instagram to welcome me to the Valley, I'm so impressed with the kindness everyone has shown me.
6. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
I think I would have pursued working at a library. I love reading and discussing new books with friends and family.
7. Got any hobbies? Pick up any new hobbies during the pandemic?
I like to read, play word games, go on easy hikes, and do arts and crafts. During the pandemic the only new hobby I picked up was binge watching shows on Netflix.
8. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
Dating Around on Netflix. I hate dating so the only way I would go out on blind dates is if it was for the show. I've always wanted to go on Family Feud, as well!
9. Who plays Deanna Regalado in a Netflix series?
America Ferrara just because everyone tells me I look like her.
10. Who were/are some of your radio mentors?
Even though I have never met her, I would say I learned the power of connection and storytelling from listening to Jamie White growing up. I've been fortunate to learn a lot from both Paul Kelley, my former Operations Manager at iHeartMedia and also my former PD, Rick Thomas, who I'm still able to work with today.
Bonus Questions
If you had to eat one type of meal every day for a month, what would it be?
I'm a pizza fanatic so I could eat pizza all day every day. Have you ever tried a breakfast pizza? It's amazing, I'd have that in the morning and for lunch and dinner I'd have pepperoni and pineapple pizza. Yes, pineapple goes on pizza.
Your dream vacation spot?
I would love to go to Italy. I want to explore the beaches and countryside and would also love to visit all the places that Dan Brown mentions in the book, Angels and Demons
