Have an opinion? Add your comment below. Who would be your dream, show stopping 'follow' on social media?
Rosario Dawson, Ric Flair, and Barack Obama.-
1. What got you into radio?
I Got an internship opportunity through my school at the time, two days after graduating. I immediately got accepted and began learning the tricks of trade with promotions, learning how to run the boards, taking listener requests, learning production, learning the history of the company, knowing who the power players were in the industry, and being in the streets. Within three months, I was hired as a parttime assistant by my Promotions Director at the time, Tobi Davis, and the rest is history.
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
An astronaut, I was and still a proud geek, I loved everything space related, I watched Star Trek. I always wanted to go space camp. I probably watched every space/sci fi movie that came out in the 80’s or 90s. The closest I’ve come to space was attending one of the space launches due to my father working at NASA.
3. What would you like to do better as a programmer as we move through 2022?
Be a better coach, help develop my team, have a strong personal connection with my team, set a theme for each month, and continue show clips from documentaries to motivate them. I also want to continue to bridge the gulf between the station and the community with a strong connection, whether it’s the local music scene or people in the community.
4. Who would be your dream, show stopping 'follow' on social media?
Rosario Dawson, Ric Flair, and Barack Obama.
5. What would probably surprise most people about Columbus?
Has anything surprised you? Nothing’s surprised me so far but I am impressed with the nightlife scene in Columbus, I’ve been to a couple spots in the city and had a great time, and very impressed with the fitness scene here as well. Met some great people so far personally and professionally. Unfortunately, I don’t get to experience it as much since I’m based out of Cincinnati.
6. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
A chef, fun fact: I like to cook. Or possibly a film director.
7. Got any hobbies? Pick up any new hobbies during the pandemic?
Bodybuilding, I competed in three competitions 2021. Prepping for the next one in the fall, some members of the staff are encouraging to compete in the Arnold Classic next April in Columbus.
8. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
Jeopardy, but it wouldn’t be the same without Alex Trebek.
9. Who plays Chris in a Netflix biographical series?
Michael B. Jordan or Jonathan Majors
