1. Why radio?
God didn't bless me with enough talent to be a professional baseball player or a rockstar.
2. What stands out the most about your first few days at WJMN?
On the night of my very first airshift back in '98, I was greeted at the door by a frightened Deirdre Dagata holding a baseball bat because she had no idea who I was.
3. What did you see as your biggest challenge when you accepted the PD job?
Not destroying these 2 legendary radio stations...so far so good.
4. What secret about Chris Tyler will surprise, perhaps shock, even those that know you well?
Someday, I'd like to give acting a shot.
5. Who do you consider to be your mentor(s)?
WWPR/New York PD and Clear Channel/Boston OM Cadillac Jack, WJMN APD and DOC Clear Channel/Boston Dennis O'Heron, WPLJ/New York MD Tony Mascaro and WPRO/Providence morning host GIOVANNI.
6. Give me one line on your air staff and programming team?
Second to none!
7. What excites you everyday when you come in to work?
When I first walk into the lobby every morning and see both station logos on the wall...sometimes I still have to pinch myself that all of this is real.
8. The last few years have been great if you are a Boston sports fan. Are you a fan and what role does having 3 world champion professional sports teams play in the programming of WJMN?
I'm a lifelong New Englander and HUGE Boston sports fan! Having all these great teams in our backyard gives us incredible local content that other markets simply do not have.
9. You are given your choice of suiting up and playing one game with one of Boston's sports franchises. Which franchise, which position and why.
Boston Red Sox, Left Field, because my favorite Sox player growing up was Jim Rice and nobody played that wall better!
10. What song, in rotation now, always seems to make you want to smile when you hear it on the station?
NeYo "Miss Independent" on Jam'n and Leona Lewis "Better In Time" on Kiss 108.
