1. What was your last non-Industry job?
In high school, I was working at Pizza Hut as a cook. A customer said my pizza that I made was the worse he ever had, so I took a pitcher of water and threw it on him. I was escorted out of the building 30 minutes later. I wonder if they would hire me back?
2. What got you interested in Radio?
I was always was that energetic annoying kid in school that loved to talk. I remember listening to BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE... I was like this guy got talent... strippers, lesbians, plays music...I was like "I can do this." Also, what topped it off was that I wanted to be a DJ that mixed in a club. I always listened to STAN THE MAN mix from a club in downtown TAMPA. I knew from there that I wanted to be in radio and work with the guys that I listened to everyday.
3. If you weren't in Radio, what do you think you'd be doing with your life?
I actually wanted to be a cop! Now that officera carry tasers...sign me up!
4. What's the highlight of your radio career to date?
Working with such great PDs and talent like DOM THEODORE, MATT JOHNSON, BO MATTHEWS, JERRY CLIFTON, DR. DAVE FERGUSON and others. I have the utmost respect for these people. They took time to show me how to do radio right.
5. What about Ft. Wayne would probably surprise most people?
That there are 2 Rhythmic stations in FT. WAYNE. When you come here and see all the corn you would be like... COUNTRY! I did but these people are diehard Hip Hop fans.
6. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I always wanted to be a PD. I've finally reached that position. Now I'm just looking to move up to a bigger market and kicking some ass there.
7. Like many markets, you are battling another Rhythmic station in your market. Why do they have better ratings than your station?
WJFX has been around for a while. There has always been mass confusion about WJFX and us. We had problems in the past with music, staff, and promotions. Since August we have done a total remodel of the station including changing the station logo, voice, and promotions. WJFX had great numbers in the past BUT there time has come and gone.
8. You are giving three market choices for your next gig. LA, DALLAS or CHICAGO...which would it be?
CHICAGO! I went there last month for the first time and was overly excited because Jerry Springer is there. Come on, It's a great city with food, entertainment and clubs.
9. If you had to exist on one type of food for 6 months, what would it be?
Sushi...HATE IT! It would have to be Mexican... I love the way it helps clean out the system later in the day.
10. Which new artist do you think we'll still be playing 10 years from now?
I would have to say YUNG JOC. He is really a down to earth guy who loves to work and loves his fans.
Bonus Questions
Bonus #1. A freak gravitational shift has added three hours to everyday. What would you do with those extra three hours?
