Mario

Mario, is an American R&B singer-songwriter, actor, dancer and model. He is best known for his singles "Just a Friend 2002" (2002) and "Let Me Love You" (2004), which won him two Billboard awards, as well as for appearing in the films Step Up and Freedom Writers. He has released four studio albums: Mario (2002), Turning Point (2004), Go (2007), and D.N.A. (2009).

"Somebody Else" is Mario's latest song, featuring vocals from Nicki Minaj. The song was released in the United States as a Digital download on May 21st, as the lead single from his fifth studio album Evolve (2013). It samples the 1975 song "Remember the Rain" by R&B group 21st Century.

The video was filmed on May 25, 2013 and directed by Alexandre Moors. The video premiered on July 8, 2013 on MTV Jams and it was premiered on July 10, 2013 on BET's 106 & Park. The video chronicles the dramatic ending of a relationship as Mario and Nicki square off in the video.
