Charles Otto "Charlie" Puth Jr. is an American singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. He first gained popularity through YouTube, and received international recognition for writing and singing on the Wiz Khalifa song "See You Again", taken from the Furious 7 soundtrack. The song toppped the charts in 26 countries. Puth's debut single, "Marvin Gaye" (featuring Meghan Trainor), topped the charts in New Zealand, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, and peaked at #4 in Australia, as well as hitting the top 25 in the United States.
On May 1, 2015, Puth released an EP, Some Type of Love. In June 2015, he released "Nothing but Trouble" with Lil Wayne, off the soundtrack to the documentary 808: The Movie. The pre-order for Puth's debut studio album Nine Track Mind started on August 20, 2015 along with the second single "One Call Away", and the album will be officially released on January 22, 2016.
