Devon Gilfillian
Jan 13, 2020

Raised near Philadelphia, Devon Gilfillian started out in the Philly music scene, but it wasn't until his move to Nashville in 2013 that he began to focus on his career in earnest. In 2016 he releaser his debut EP, which set him on the course to airplay and touring success. Gilfillian has just released his debut album, Black Hole Rainbow.
Gilfillian was raised in a musical family and cites a broad variety of artists as an influence, including Ray Charles, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield and Jimi Hendrix. In addition to “Get Out And Get It” and “Unchained” (he has just release a video for this song that features his brother Ryan), check out “The Good Life,” and in keeping with the vibe of “Even Though It Hurts,” focus on “Lovely,” “Stay A Little Longer” and “Full Disclosure.”
In a recent interview with Mood:Blog, Gilfillian said, “I feel like music, in so many different ways, connects to the body and the mind. I feel like music is vibrations.”
Gilfillian has been chosen as a 2020 NPR Slingshot artist. Over the past few years he has toured with Anderson East, Keith Urban, Gladys Knight, Kaleo, The Fray, Mavis Staples and The Brothers Osborne, as well as headlined his own dates. He is currently out with Grace Potter. Gilfillian is also booked to perform at the Sandjam Music Festival and Bonnaroo.
