Booker T. Jones follows back-to-back Grammy wins for his previous two albums (2010's Potato Hole and 2012's The Road From Memphis) with Sound The Alarm on Stax/Concord Music Group. This marks Booker's return to Stax, and features collaborations with some of the finest talents in modern soul and R&B including Mayer Hawthorne, Anthony Hamilton, Vintage Trouble, Estelle, Gary Clark, Jr., Luke James, Kori Withers and more.

For Sound The Alarm, he shares production chores with brothers Bobby Ross Avila and Issiah "IZ" Avila, who co-wrote eight songs and serve as the rhythm section on most of the album's 12 tracks. The highly sought after siblings have worked with such top acts as Usher, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliot, Chaka Khan and Earth, Wind & Fire.

'Sound The Alarm' is a celebration of the past, present and future of R&B.

The projects features vocal songs such as the title track (Hawthorne), "All Over The Place (James), "Watch You Sleeping (Withers) and "Your Love Is Not Lost (Vintage Trouble). There are also some cool instrumentals such as "Fun," "Austin City Blues (Clark), "66 Impala (Poncho Sanchez and Sheila E.) and "Father Son Blues" (with Booker's son Ted).

Booker T said, "I have music inside me, and I'm looking forward to the future. I'm very excited about making some things happen."

Booker T has won four Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As a producer, he has helmed sessions for million sellers including Bill Withers and Willie Nelson. He's written and/or played on some of the most enduring songs of all time.
