Oct 7, 2013
American singer-songwriter, Leon James "Lee" DeWyze, Jr. was the winner of the ninth season of American Idol. However, even before being on the show, he had a solo career and formed the Lee DeWyze Band. He had also released two independent albums called So I'm Told in 2007 and Slumberland in 2010, both on WuLi Records. His first post-Idol album Live It Up was released in 2010, through 19 Entertainment and RCA Records. WuLi Records, citing demand from DeWyze's fan base, released a third album of pre-Idol recordings, What Once Was, in 2012. His most recent album Frames was released this year, on August 20th. He announced that "Fight" would be the second single on September 27th.
"Fight" is a guitar-driven foot stomper. Inspirational lyrics like "I would fight, and I would beg. I just want to hear you say that tonight will be alright if you will stay...so put your hand in mine, we'll be fine" can be found throughout the song.
