Paul McCartney

What do you do when you have the impressive career that Paul McCartney has had? Why, you shake things up a bit!
Talking about his sixteenth solo album, New, McCartney said: "It's funny, when I play people the album they're surprised it's me. A lot of the tracks are quite varied and not necessarily in a style you'd recognize as mine. I didn't want it to all sound the same. I really enjoyed making this album. It's always great to get a chance to get into the studio with a bunch of new songs and I was lucky to work with some very cool producers. We had a lot of fun."
Those producers were Paul Epworth, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Giles Martin. And with their help McCartney has delivered one of his most inspired albums in quite some time. After all, it has been six years since we've gotten something with all brand-new material from him! The album was recorded at Henson Recording Studios, Los Angeles; Avatar Studios, New York; Abbey Road Studios, London; Air Studios, London; Wolf Tone Studios, London and Hog Hill Mill, East Sussex.
Amidst the variety on the new album, several tracks standout beyond the first two singles, "Queenie Eye" and the title track. These include "Save Us," "Alligator," "Appreciate," "Everybody Out There" and "Looking At Her."
McCartney just finished a series of dates in the U.S. including headlining the iHeart Radio Festival this past September in Las Vegas. He also played a special "Jimmy Kimmel Live" concert in Hollywood and did an impromptu, unannounced performance on the back of a truck in Times Square in New York recently.
He and his band will be in Japan on November.
