Bruce Springsteen's new album High Hopes finds the artist in a number of different musical settings, and includes the members of the E Street Band as well as guitarist Tom Morello and many additional players.
The package is basically unreleased and revisited material that has been enhanced and tweaked to give the songs a contemporary slant. The album was recorded in New Jersey, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Australia and New York, and marks Springsteen's 18th studio album.
Standout tracks include "High Hopes," "The Ghost of Tom Joad," "Heaven's Wall," "American Skin (41 Shots)"and "Just Like Fire Would."
In the liner notes to package, Springsteen said, "This is music I always felt needed to be released. "
On the eve of his first ever dates in South Africa, which begin January 26th in Cape Town, Bruce Springsteen's new album has debuted at No. 1 in the United States and in nine other countries.
The South African dates kick off a run of shows that includes concerts in Australia, New Zealand and in New Orleans, LA at the Jazz & Heritage Festival.
