The Black Keys
May 18, 2014

The Black Keys are an American rock duo consisting of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Dan Auerbach and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Patrick Carney. The band was formed in Akron, Ohio, in 2001. Through the course of several albums the duo have garnered seven Grammys, had several sold-out arena tours and have sold millions of albums.
They now return with Turn Blue, their eighth studio album. They again worked with co-producer/co-writer Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton (their third go-around with him). This album finds the creative team drifting away from their tough-blues mode and offering up a more diverse number of musical styles reveling in lush strings, warm synths and slinky soul melodies. There is even a psychedelic tinge to a few songs.
In addition to the No. 1 Triple A track, "Fever," check out "Weight Of Love," "In Time," "Bullet In The Brain," "10 Lovers" and the title track.
The Black Keys were recently guests on "The Colbert Report." After a performance at The Hangout Music Festival and a taping for SiriusXM, they will be touring Europe and the U.K. extensively right through the summer. They then hit the road in North America beginning in September.
