The Lone Bellow
Feb 8, 2015
Brooklyn's The Lone Bellow's -- Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist and Kanene Pipkin --title track from their sophomore effort, Then Came The Morning, has been building a solid story since its release near the end of the last year. And that new album is now available -- produced by The National's Aaron Dessner.
Again The Lone Bellow deliver a passionate, spiritualized and literal collection of songs. Overall, the sonic texture on Then Came the Morning feels more varied than on their debut, The Lone Bellow. In addition to the title track, check out "Fake Roses," "Marietta," "Take My Love," "Call To War," "Watch Over Us" and the rockin' "Heaven Don't Call Me Home."
"The feeling I get singing with Zach and Brian is completely natural and wholly electrifying," says Pipkin. "Our voices feel like they were made to sing together."
The band was on the road throughout November and into December of 2014. They return to touring in mid-February on through to several spring and summer festivals.
