Anderson East
Jul 26, 2015

We seem to be hitting the crest of the American neo-soul wave this summer, and Nashville-based Anderson East in right in the thick of it. Originally from Athens, Al, East began his musical career in 2009 self-releasing an album titled Closing Credits for a Fire under the name Mike Anderson. He began his career under the name Anderson East with the release of an EP titled Fire Demos. He then put out his self-released debut album, Flowers of the Broken Hearted in 2012. East's Elektra debut album, Delilah, was just released.
The album was produced by Dave Cobb. In addition to the first single, "Satisfy Me," which is climbing the Triple A charts, check out "Find 'Em, Fool 'Em And Forget 'Em," "Devil In Me," "All I'll Ever Need," and "What A Woman Wants To Hear."
East said in a recent interview, "A lot of this album is very personal; a lot of it is with someone in mind and probably, there's a thread throughout it. Other people that the songs are about ultimately lead back to one person."
East wowed the attendees at this year NONCOMMvention. He recently made his network television debut on "Late Night with Seth Meyers." Delilah was featured on NPR Music.
In celebration of the release, East will perform nationwide throughout the summer and fall, including dates with Brandi Carlile and The Lone Bellow.
