Boy & Bear
Oct 18, 2015

Multi ARIA winners Boy & Bear return with their third effort, Limit Of Love. The Australian-based band made some genuine inroads in the American market with their debut, Moonfire and even more so with their sophomore effort, Harlequin Dream.
Dave Hosking (lead vocals/guitar), Killian Gavin (vocals/guitars), Tim Hart (drums/vocals/guitar), Jon Hart (vocals/keys/mandolin) and David Symes (bass) decided to take a different approach with this new project. They hooked up with producer Ethan Johns and headed to Peter Gabriel's famed Real World Studios. There they put the new songs down on 2-inch tape live and that is pretty much what you hear in the final product.
Limit Of Love, is pristine, honest and direct. In addition to "Walk The Wire," check out "Hollow Ground," "Breakdown Slow," "Man Alone" and the title track.
GAVIN said in a recent interview, "I think this record is the first album that we have all agreed on within the band as the best representation of what we are really about, and what we sound like when playing live. It's more stripped back than anything else we have recorded before, with much more emphasis on performance and energy, getting the take of the song right."
