BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
- Produced 2 TV shows
- Manage 8 radio stations
- Founder of Moses Media, Inc. (celebrating 21 years).
- Worked with major artists such as: Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Jay Z, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, and more.
- Promote independent artists and enhancing their careers.
1. When, why, and how did you decide to go into the music industry?
I started radio in 1976. As a youth, I wanted something different. I interned at the early age of 17 at radio station (KATZ-A) in St. Louis. A year later, I was on payroll as an overnight DJ for next 3 years.
2. What are you up to these days?
I do independent music promotions for major labels and independent artists.
3. Did you know what you wanted to be when you were growing up?
Yes, a radio and TV personality
4. How do you see the future for the music and radio industries?
In the future there will be more syndication and less local programming (Unfortunately).
You must work the streets because you can’t sit inside the radio station.
5. When you were in radio, what did you like about being on the air?
The day to day connecting with my listeners.
6. What are you most proud of?
I am proud of being a father and grandfather.

Bernie Hayes- Learned how to relate to the listeners
Doug Eason- Professionalism and quality production
Lee Michaels- How to be a friend on the radio
Tony Gray- Programming skills
Mike Love- Future vision (visionary) on the development and enhancement of Moses Media.
Sam Weaver- Great programmer and radio coach
Doctor Jockenstein- Major people person and well loved by all.

Donnie Brooks-He never disappointed his listeners and always well dressed

*****And too many more to mention.8. What would people who think they know you, be surprised to find out?
That I have a ROAD PHOBIA. I no longer drive due to my road phobia and when I am in a vehicle, I wear blinders to cover my eyes.
9. Would you share one of your funnier moments during your radio career?
One of my air personalities found out he was going to be fired, therefore he opened up the board in the on-air studio and urinated in it. He blew the tubes in the board, and it left an odor for over 3 days.
10. What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Stay true to the game, work the clubs, streets, and relate to the listeners.
