Snoop Dogg wants to make you 'Sweat' on a new song from his upcoming album 'Doggumentary Music.'
"I turn girls into Slip & Slide," Snoop sings, ditching the rapping for straightforward singing, though his vocals have an intentionally detached feeling due to generous use of Auto-Tune and lots of reverb.
The song features minimal instrumentation aside from programmed drum beats, putting the focus squarely on Snoop's risque lyrics: "She's hot on a rainy day, don't drown / Call me up, I can save you now." Continuing the weather-related double entendres, he sings, "There's only one way we can stop the drought / Come with me, take a trip down south."
'Sweat' is a cleaner version of the track 'Wet,' which is scheduled to appear on Snoop's next album 'Doggumentary Music,' due in March 2011, according to the rapper's website. The record is the follow-up to 2009's 'Malice n Wonderland.'
Snoop Dogg has had a great 2010, earning his third No. 1 single and two Grammy nominations as a featured performer on Katy Perry's smash 'California Gurls.'
'Sweat' impact Urban on January 11th.
