Faith Evans has released a new single called "Tears of Joy" and has announced an upcoming album called R&B Divas, which is also the same name as her upcoming TV One reality show.
As her reality show "R&B Divas" is set to premiere, Faith Evans has announced that she's releasing a companion album to the show called R&B Divas on October 2nd.The first single off the album is "Tears of Joy," which was written by songwriter and producer (respectively), Claude Kelly & Chuck Harmony. The album also features "Dumb," a retro-soul uptempo track written by Faith and produced by the group 1500 OR NOTHIN'.
Also, the LP features the show's theme song, "Lovin Me," which was co-written by fellow R&B Diva, Nichole "Nicci" Gilbert-Daniels, Belle Johnson and Gharah "PK" Degeddungseze. The album will benefit the WHITNEY E. HOUSTON ACADEMY OF CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS.
Faith spoke about the project saying,
"I'm extremely excited about executive producing this Faith Evans R&B Divas album and working beside some of the premiere female R&B vocalists of our generation. I'm also proud to honor to my dear friend and music Icon, Ms. Whitney Houston and give back to the community in doing my part to help save performing arts in schools. Making this album has been an incredible experience, and every true fan of R&B music will be touched by these beautiful songs of love, hope and triumph!"
