Joe Budden
Feb 7, 2013

Joe Budden who, in addition to being as a solo artist, is a member of the American hip hop super group Slaughterhouse, alongside Royce da 5'9", Joell Ortiz, and Crooked I.
His most commercially successful single is the song "Pump It Up", from his self-titled album, which contains production from renowned producer Just Blaze. He was formerly signed to major label Def Jam, but left for personal reasons and for them pushing away his album releases. After his splitting from this label, he began recording and releasing mix tapes and albums on independent labels.
Joe Budden's first-ever collaboration with Lil Wayne, "She Don't Put It Down Like You," has been a long time coming. The track was first previewed live at a New York show back in February, and later played during a UStream in June, featuring a verse from Twista (which has since been removed). The single has finally been released, complete with a soothing hook from Tank.
Sonically, the synth-steered, drum-rattling anthem sounds like it was tailor made for Weezy's catalog, not Joey's. Coincidentally, it was produced by Canadian beatsmith T-Minus, who crafted the YMCMB rapper's Carter IV hit, "She Will," and is expected to contribute to his upcoming I Am Not A Human Being II album.
Budden released a mixtape named "A Loose Quarter" on November 20th. Following that he will release his next album No Love Lost on February 5, 2013. The second single from the album is "N.B.A. (Never Broke Again)" which features Wiz Khalifa and French Montana.
