An opportunity for "true players" to succeed in a new era.
Since your latest visit to allaccess.com, you have come to realize that All Access has changed. We've gotten better. We've expanded our horizons and our original editorial vision in order to better cover the issues that affect us. As Urban editor, I am particularly proud to be part of this growth and change. We're going to continue to weigh in on the critical issues in programming, marketing, management and promotions. We're going to share ground-breaking technologies and concepts first hand.
With the new site, we have ushered in a new era, representative of our combined industries' vibrant past and boundless future. It is your future and ours. And in the future we want you to continue to make this your most frequented address. We're re-dedicating ourselves to helping you control the destiny of your career.
We like to think every daily issue we publish contains something special -- at least an article or two or a news story with a different treatment that sets it apart and makes it particularly compelling to you, our readers.
For me, there are a couple of things that stand out in the process involved in
bringing these concepts to life. The first has to do with the fact that despite the cutbacks, consolidations, and downsizing, there are still some tremendous opportunities in urban radio and music. The second has to do with the fact that urban culture has developed into a multi-billion dollar industry -- one that shines its light on a business world that has been under-appreciated for years. Today, every element of that world is touched or is in some way involved with our culture. Our culture is now mainstream and, because of that, we encourage you to find the time you never thought you had to step outside the boundaries of our urban pages and read All Access from "cover to cover" as often as you can.
What you will find as we go forward is the result of the commitment of All Access' dedicated staff, but it is more than just commitment. It's a combination of dedication, extra effort, skills and determination that is going to continue to make All Access exceptional. Without the combined contributions of our entire staff, it would not have been feasible to produce this the new site.
Less parochially, we were all struck by the breadth of support and interest from each member of the staff that not only made the project doable, but enjoyable, and that also speaks to the exceptional range of artistic talent among us. We have all logged hundreds of hours, late nights, and early mornings to bring this new site to you.
The fact is that the enthusiasm and interest each staff member took in adding to and improving the new All Access encouraged and heartened us every step of the way.
We invite you to come, sample, and explore.
And from all of us to all of you, we thank you for making us the leading site for the radio and music industry.
It is my hope that the energy and vision demonstrated by so many with whom I work will be maintained and multiplied. We think you'll find the new site represents an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and information, and that it will add fun and value to your career and your life. When that happens, All Access will be an even better place to be enjoyed by all of us as we enter into our second decade of service. And that would be the best legacy we could have.
