Lisa Loeb
Feb 17, 2013
Well known 90's pop singer-songwriter, Lisa Loeb recently released her seventh album, No Fairy Tale via 429 Records on January 29th. It is her first adult album since The Way It Really Is, which was released in 2004. Together with New Found Glory guitarist and co-producer, Chad Gilbert, they have created a very grown-up and punchy album that can best be described as poppy-punky-rock. On this album, Loeb also collaborates with indie darlings Tegan and Sara (with whom she recorded two songs-her first songwriting collaboration). Other notable artists featured on No Fairy Tale include Hello Goodbye, Morgan Taylor, Maia Sharp and Marvin Etzioni.
Lisa Loeb's career began in 1994 with her hit song, "Stay (I Missed You)", which appeared on the Reality Bites soundtrack. With this song, she was the first artist to have a number one single in the United States while not signed to a recording contract. Since then her multi-dimensional career has expanded to encompass music, film, television, voice-overs, children's recordings and even a collection of designer eyewear. She has appeared in two television series, Dweezil & Lisa, a weekly culinary adventure for the Food Network and Number 1 Single, a reality show on the E! Network in 2006 focused on her quest for love, success, career, and family. Her five studio albums include her major label debut, the gold-selling Tails and its follow-up, the Grammy-nominated, gold-selling Firecracker. Her thoughtful, melodic songs have earned her a large nationwide fan base, and she spends much of her time touring the US.
Over the next few months, Lisa Loeb will be involved in a flurry of promotional events including appearances on Leno, Conan, a NPR interview, a Barnes & Noble in-store performance and whole a lot more.
