WBLA Applies For Silent STA, Minnesota Sale Closes

CHRISTIAN LISTENING NETWORK, INC. has applied to the FCC for a Silent STA for WBLA-A/ELIZABETHTOWN, NC due to financial difficulties.
The Gospel station, known as SHINE 1440, had been attempting to raise donations to remain on the air, looking to raise $30,000 to continue operations. As of WEDNESDAY morning, the fundraising thermometer shows $1,500 raised; The station is streaming online.
And THREE EAGLES OF LUVERNE, INC. has closed on the sale of AC KITN (93.5 THE BREEZE), Talk KWOA-A, and Classic Hits KWOA-F (95.1 THE EAGLE)/WORTHINGTON, MN to ABSOLUTE COMMUNICATIONS II, LLC for $2.2 million. JERRY JOHNSON of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP served as broker for the seller in the deal.
