The FCC didn't get any station sale applications YESTERDAY (1/9) but it did get a bunch of filings from stations going temporarily silent. Among them, WORLD RADIO LINK, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KMVV/MEADOW LAKES, AK while it moves its main studio.
Also, ARK-LA-TEX, LLC has requested a Silent STA for KTFS-A/TEXARKANA, TX due to vandalism.
DIGITAL RADIO BROADCASTING, INC. has filed for Silent STAs for FM translators W235BI/MIDDLETOWN, NY and W219DQ/DILLYVILLE, NY, the former due to "incoming program source quality... deteriorated. New equipment will need to be obtained" and the latter due to a site change.
UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON SYSTEM has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for FM translator K218DA/HOUSTON while it finalizes a new site for the station.
And WTL COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for low power FM KJCR-LP/GRANTS PASS, OR due to transmitter failure.
