January 23, 2012 at 9:45 AM (PT)
A two-night celebration of AUSTIN’s first Alternative station, KNNC (107.7 K-NACK) is happening FRIDAY, JANUARY 27th and SATURDAY, JANUARY 28th at ND. K-NACK signed onto the airwaves on HALLOWEEN in 1991 and left a memorable mark on the AUSTIN music community after six years on-air.
The infamous "Psychobaby" has now turned 20 and K-NACK alum RAY "RAYDOG" SEGGERN is throwing a reunion party. The K-NACK alums include: MAX PACE (a.k.a. PAUL KRIEGLER), LYNN LAWLESS (a.k.a. LYNN BARSTOW), TRINA QUINN, MELODY LEE, RACHEL MARISAY, DREW BENNETT, KEN FUSION (a.k.a. TIM DAVIS), JASON JENKINS, CARY DELMARK, ALAN CROSS, THE RUDE LUVAH, JESS WEBB, BIFF RAFFE (a.k.a. BRUCE JONES), MIKE PEER, JAY MICHAELS and SPENCER KANE.
There will be performances both nights from bands who rocked K-NACK’s heyday including SIXTEEN DELUXE, SINCOLA, BO BUD GREENE, SEED, WANNABES, BUG/SPLINTER, and GOMEZ (TX). These bands had a huge influence on AUSTIN’s indie scene. A few of these bands will be performing together for the first time in a decade.
A "K-NACK CLASS REUNION" kicks off the festivities on SATURDAY night. K-NACK swag featuring the legendary Psychobaby logo plus rare compilation CDs, and more will on sale throughout the weekend.
Tickets are $10 per night or $17 for both nights. Find the K-NACK REUNION WEEKEND schedule of events and more by clicking here.
