SSR COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling the construction permit for KSBU/DELTA, LA to HOLLADAY BROADCASTING OF LOUISIANA, LLC for $65,000.
In other filings with the FCC, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has asked the Commission for a Silent STA for FM translator K201GB/CENTRALIA, WA due to interference problems with another station.
RAMA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for WQBQ-A/LEESBURG, FL due to repairs to the station's transmitter.
CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING OF DE RIDDER, INC. has requested a Silent STA for KDLA/DE RIDDER, LA because it lost its transmitter site.
And HORIZON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP has requested an extension of its Silent STA for low power FM KHHS-LP/SAN DIEGO due to interference from co-channel UNIVISION Spanish AC KLVE/LOS ANGELES.
CBS Closes On D.C. Purchase
In addition, CBS RADIO has closed on the purchase of what is now Tropical WLZL (EL ZOL 107.9 FM)/ANNAPOLIS-WASHINGTON, formerly Religion WFSI, from FAMILY STATIONS for $8.5 million. CBS moved the WLZL format to the newly-acquired station late last year in order to use WLZL's former 99.1 FM slot for its News WNEW, which launched this week.
