MUTE RECORDS announces the launch of a brand new label, LIBERATION TECHNOLOGIES, headed by A&R exec PATRICK O’NEILL. Following on from MUTE’s long tradition of working with innovative artists -- M83, DEPECHE MODE, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS, YAZOO, GOLDFRAPP, ERASURE -- LIBERATION TECHNOLOGIES plans to extend that freedom and vision. The label will work with highly distinctive and pioneering electronic musicians.
The first release on the new label will be KING FELIX, a producer from ANN ARBOR, MI who now lives in BROOKLYN. His Spring EP is scheduled to be released on MARCH 19th. LIBERATION TECHNOLOGIES will be distributed worldwide by S T HOLDINGS.
MUTE founder DANIEL MILLER said, "Electronic music is part of MUTE’s DNA and history, and this label is the latest expression of that."
