WFLC Announces Staff Promotions

Today (1/27), COX MEDIA AC WFLC (97.3 COAST FM)/MIAMI announced the following staff promotions.

After five years doing MD/middays duties, DONNY MICHAELS has been named to join the JULIE GUY for mornings, replacing TAMARA GANT who exited in DECEMBER.

In addition, night talent TONI GONZALEZ has been tapped to replace MICHAELS in middays: he's bein succeeded by overnight talent ASHLEY OWEN.

In making the announcement, WFLC (97.3 COAST FM)/MIAMI PD GARY WILLIAMS commented, "DONNY has been filling in the past few weeks and has impressed many of us with his creativity, enthusiasm and chemistry with JULIE GUY.

WILLIAMS added, "TONI is South FLORIDA. Born in CUBA, and arriving in MIAMI at age two, TONI is a great example of hard work and achieving the AMERICAN dream.

In addition to the on-air changes, I am also thrilled to promote 10-year CMG MIAMI vet DAVE HANSON to MD of 97.3 THE COAST and sister station EASY 93.1. DAVE has been a tremendous asset to us in the programming department over the years, and it’s awesome to reward his hard work.
