SOUTHERN WABASH COMMUNICATIONS Sports WNSR-A/NASHVILLE is joining the ATLANTA BRAVES radio network this season. The station will carry 140-150 games this season from the network, based at DICKEY Sports WCNN-A (680 THE FAN) and Rock WNNX (ROCK 100.5)/ATLANTA.
"NASHVILLE is fertile baseball country, with home grown stars like DAVID PRICE of the RAYS (a native of nearby MURFREESBORO), and, of course, DAN UGGLA and MIKE MINOR of the BRAVES, plus a tremendous fan base", said afternoon drive host THOM ABRAHAM. "Even if you're not a BRAVES fan, they have such an attractive schedule with the METS, PHILLIES, CARDINALS, CUBS and REDS, it seems like they are always playing somebody's favorite team, plus they get the YANKEES and RED SOX for nine games this season."
