Former WICK-A-WYCK-A-WWDL/SCRANTON owner DOUG LANE's prison sentence for child molestation has been cut after a plea deal that changed his plea to guilty, reports the SCRANTON TIMES-TRIBUNE.
LANE had asserted his innocence at trial, but dropping that claim led to Judge MICHAEL J. BARRASSE taking six years off the 14 year minimum sentence and 14 years off the 30 year maximum sentence, meaning that LANE is now serving a 8-16 year sentence.
LANE was convicted in MARCH 2005 on two counts of molestation and six kiddie porn possession counts. He later was permitted by the FCC to sell the three stations to BOLD GOLD MEDIA GROUP, allowing the proceeds to go to LANE's victims and creditors.
