MERLIN News WEMP (FM NEWS 101.9)/NEW YORK VP/Programming LIZ AIELLO exited the station along with the previously-reported departures of VP/Production JERRY ROHIRA and Sr. Dir./Digital Programming RICH MCLAUGHLIN as the station continues to revamp from its initial presentation to a more traditional all-News format.

AIELLO came to WEMP from SIRIUS XM RADIO's MARTHA STEWART LIVING channel and previously worked at the satellite service's HOWARD STERN-centric HOWARD 100 NEWS department.  Before radio, she served as Managing Editor and Exec. Producer at ABC O&Os WABC-TV/NEW YORK and WTVD (TV)/DURHAM, NC.

FISHBOWL NY's JERRY BARMASH reports that AL GARDNER, who recently joined MERLIN from GREATER MEDIA Talk WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE to run the new format at newly-acquired WKDN/CAMDEN-PHILADELPHIA, is overseeing the NEW YORK station for now.
