Smile FM Acquires Three FM Construction Permits

SIDE BY SIDE, INC. is selling the construction permit for noncommercial WYOR/REPUBLIC, OH to SMILE FM for $1,500.  SMILE FM is also acquiring the construction permit for a new noncommercial FM at YORKTOWN, AR from MONDY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION for no consideration, and is acquiring another permit for a new noncommercial FM at SPEAKER TWP., MI from SPEAKER RADIO in a donation arrangement in exchange for on-air announcements for organizations associated with the transferor.

In other filings, JIMMY JARRELL's ALABAMA CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling WTBT/DOZIER, AL and Religion WQLS/CAMDEN, AL to TIMOTHY TOWNSEND's TOWNSEND BROADCASTING ENTERPRISE for $3,000.

GS RADIO OF ILLINOIS, LLC has applied for a Silent STA for WZRK-A/NORTHBROOK, IL due to thieves stealing copper from the station's ground system.

DLC MEDIA, INC. has requested a Silent STA for FM translator W249BP/PRINCETON, IN as it prepares an application to move the station to improve coverage.

JWC BROADCASTING has closed on the sale of Classic Country WATX-A/ALGOOD, TN; Active Rock WBXE (ROCK 93.7)/BAXTER, TN; Rhythmic AC WKXD-F (KICKS 106.9)/MONTEREY, TN; AC WLQK (LITE ROCK 95.9)/LIVINGSTON, TN; and W265BC/COOKEVILLE, TN (rebroadcasting WKXD) to STONECOM COOKEVILLE, LLC for $2.3 million.

ADELANTE MEDIA OF EASTERN WASHINGTON LICENSE LLC has closed on the sale of Spanish Adult Hits KDYM-A/SUNNYSIDE, WA to CENTRO FAMILIAR CRISTIANO for $150,000.

And GROSS COMMUNICATIONS has closed on the sale of Spanish Top 40 WHKQ (KQ103) (formerly Smooth Jazz WLOQ)/ORLANDO to TTB MEDIA CORP. for $8,037,000.
